Another historic milestone for the upstart Oklahoma State Women’s Wrestling Club Team as Kaiulani Garcia won the first-ever tournament title for the team.
Garcia is a freshman at Oklahoma State out of Gilroy, California. In high school, she was a U17 World Team Member, finishing in fifth place at the 2022 World Championships at 73 KG and winning a bronze medal at the Pan American Championships in that same year.
Garcia dominated the Falcon Open hosted by Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Garcia picked up two first-period falls and two tech falls en route to the 160-pound title.

The Cowgirls had a total of eleven entries into the tournament and finished 14th place as a team.
In the past few years, the club was started, they competed in their first dual, officially got a coaching staff, and now have won their first individual tournament title. You can read more on the start of the program and our early look at the team this season at the links below.
